Technical Support

Hardware Configuration is very important to get maximum performance from ProgeCAD Software. ProgeCAD is a highly complex and graphics intensive application similar to any other latest CAD tools available in the market. Hence we need your careful attention in this regard:

Oprerating System : Microsoft Windows® XP, Windows® Vista, Windows 7® or Windows 8® either 32bit or 64bit

Processor : Intel Core i3 Processor (2nd Generation or higher) or above. A good chipset mother board to support the performance of above processor.

RAM: 4GB or above

Harddisk: 5GB or above of Free Hard Disk Space

Dedicated Graphics Card : A dedicated graphics card is highly recommended to achieve the best performance of ProgeCAD. OpenGL version should be at least 3.0.

We recommend Nvidia GeForce GT 630 with 2GB DDR3 RAM (open GL4.2).

The following table shows few configurations tested by us for smooth running of ProgeCAD:

ProgeCAD 2017 Hardware Trouble Shooting

If you notice any performance issues with ProgeCAD, we recommend you to follow below steps:

(i) Update ProgeCAD to latest version and latest maintenance patch. ProgeCAD -> Help -> Check for ProgeCAD Updates (while connected to internet).

(ii) Update the graphic/video card drivers in your computer to latest release released by its manufacturer/OEM.

If above two steps doesn’t show any improvement, then do below setting:

(iii) Disable hardware acceleration per below procedure:
– Make sure to upgrade your graphic card drivers to the latest version
– Open the progeCAD Tools > Option menu
– Select the Display tab
– Uncheck the ‘Hardware acceleration – Display performance’ option, in the lower right corner
– Close and re-open the progeCAD software

(iv) If your ProgeCAD is unable to launch in Windows 8 OS, please do this:
– Go to your ProgeCAD install directory
(e.g.: C:Program FilesProgeCADprogeCAD 2017 Full Version (ENG)
– Check for a folder called “UnsupportedGS”. This folder should contact below files:
Redway3dDevice_3.02_9.gs
WinDirectX_3.02_9.gs
– If they are missing, delete this “UnsupportedGS” folder and restart ProgeCAD, it should work.

(v) Check the OpenGL version of your computer by using this free software (http://www.realtech-vr.com/glview/extensions.html). Download and install the software in your computer. Click on All Programs and OpenGL Extensions Viewer, it will launch a window and show the OpenGl version there. It should be 3.0 or above for ProgeCAD smooth running.

(vi) As a final step, send us the complete hardware information.
– Windows – Start->Run-> Cmd (to launch windows command prompt).
– Type “mkdir C:Temp” in the command prompt and press enter (ignore if C:Temp directory exists).
– Type “dxdiag /t c:Temppcinfo.txt” and press enter. Wait for a minute or two, for file creation.
– Email us the “pcinfo.txt” file from “C:Temp” directory.
