How to Move a ProgeCAD License to a New Computer

If you are replacing your computer or upgrading your hardware, you can transfer your ProgeCAD license by following the correct license migration procedure. The steps vary depending on your ProgeCAD version and whether your license uses a USB hardware key.

For ProgeCAD 2008 and Later

Licenses Without a USB Key

1. Uninstall ProgeCAD from the current computer.
2. Select the Automatic uninstall option when prompted.
3. Install ProgeCAD on the new computer.
4. Run the Registration Wizard.
5. Complete the activation process to receive a new authorization code.

Licenses With a USB Key

1. Install ProgeCAD on the new computer.
2. Start the registration process.
3. Enter your serial number.
4. Insert the USB license key when prompted.
5. Complete the activation.

For ProgeCAD 2007 and Earlier

Licenses Without a USB Key

1. Uninstall ProgeCAD using the Automatic uninstall option.
2. During uninstall, note the LTC (License Transfer Code).
3. Install ProgeCAD on the new computer.
4. Start the Registration Wizard.
5. Select that the software has been previously registered.
6. Enter the saved LTC code when requested.
7. Complete the registration to receive a new authorization code.

Licenses With a USB Key

1. Install ProgeCAD on the new computer.
2. Enter your serial number during registration.
3. Insert the USB license key when prompted.
4. Finish the activation process.
